ABOUT THE “LIVE THE LIFE YOU WANT” PROJECT

The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC has endeavored to do something about filling the pipeline of talent in the Harrisburg region. Statistics were showing that there were only .4 available workers per job opening and that was down from .7 workers in August 2013. There are more jobs available in the region than qualified workers to fill them. If the talent market is tight then the Harrisburg region runs the risk of not maintaining a competitive edge.

The Chamber decided to take the lead in identifying methodologies and strategies to address the problem. In collaboration with some of the leading companies in the region, we decided to hire TFM Advertising (now Gavin™) to create an integrated marketing campaign that will help brand the Harrisburg region and emphasize the fact that the area is a great place to live, work and play.

The Live the Life You Want project is the perfect example of the talent that the Harrisburg-region has to offer. From the website design and graphic artwork, to local pictures and bloggers to the videos, down to the music bed (courtesy of Wake Up Celebration) we sourced it all locally. LIVE THE LIFE YOU WANT WEBSITE STATS

3/1/2015 – 3/1/2016

– Since the launch of the LTLYW website (February 2015), 7,616 users have visited the site; 3,573 were from Pennsylvania.

– 61% of site visitors are our target audience, millennials 18 – 34.

– After leaving the jobs page on the Chamber & CREDC site, 24% of visitors stayed on the LTLYW site to view other pages, including things to do, bragging rights, cost of living and strategic location.
